About Ted Phillips
Ted Phillips is the current President and CEO of the Chicago Bears. Phillips first began workingwith the Bears in 1984 as the teamsController, eventually being promoted to the teamsDirector of Finance position in 1988. Five years later, Phillips would bepromoted again to VicePresident of Operations, continuing his climb up the Chicago Bears corporate ladder. Due tohim earning his Master’s degree in Marketing and Management, along with his dedication tothe Bears, Phillips was named Chief ExecutiveOfficer and President of the Chicago Bears in1999, a position he currently holds today. During his tenure, Phillips hasdone many things toplease the Bears’ fan base, including the improvement in stability of the team’s front office andmoving the Bears’ training camp back to Illinois in 2002. All of his actions as CEO and Presidenthave helped the team rise in value, and Phillipscurrently has the Bears ranked in the Top 10Most Valuable NFL Teams.
