About Tamika Whitmore
Tamika Whitmore is a former WNBA forward, retiring in 2009 after a ten year career. Whitmorewas a prolific scorer at the University of Memphis, finishing second in career scoring, first incareer field goal percentage, and fourth in career rebounds over her four year career for theTigers. Whitmore was drafted 30th overall by the New York Liberty in 1999, playing five seasonsuntil she left the team and signed with the Los Angeles Sparks. After two years with the Sparks,Whitmore signed with the Indiana Fever, where she set the playoff record for points in a singlegame with 41. After the 2008 season, Whitmore was traded to the Connecticut Sun where shefinished her career after the season. Whitmore also experienced success with the U.S. nationalteam, averaging 9.8 points and leading the U.S. to the championship during the William JonesCup.
