Summer McIntosh Biography

Summer McIntosh is a standout Canadian swimmer. McIntosh became a phenom as a 14-year-old member of Canada's national team during the 2020 Olympics. She finished fourth at those Games in the 400-meter freestyle. McIntosh was the first Canadian to win two gold medals during one World Championships in 2021. She then set the world record in the women's 400-meter individual medley as a 16-year-old in 2023. Her mother, Jill Horstead, was also a swimmer for Team Canada.
