Steven Langton

Steven Langton is an American bobsledder from Melrose, Massachusetts. Competing in both the two-men and four-men events, Langton has been a competitor since 2007. In his college years, he pursued track and field, running for Northeastern University and setting several school records and a sprinter and jumper. Graduating with a degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship in 2005, Langton did not waste much time before pursuing bobsledding. Having watched it in the Olympics since he was a little kid, Langton took the initiative to attend a summer recruitment camp in 2007 and made the national team before the year’s end. Since, Langton has earned a two bronze medals at the FIBT World Championships in 2011 and 2013, two gold medals in both the two-man and four-man events in Lake Placid in 2012, and two bronze medals at the 2014 Olympic Games. Langton sets the perfect example of how you can do anything you put your mind to, regardless of the amount of time you have been doing it for. He is a role model to everyone who knows his story, also overcoming two serious surgeries over the course of his bobsledding career.
