About Steve Tasker
Steven Jay Tasker is an athlete-turned-broadcaster for the National Football League and CBS Sports. Tasker played most of his professional career as a wide receiver, punter, and gunner for the Buffalo Bills, making his appearance in the 1985 NFL Draft. Tasker was a true athlete, having played college football at Northwestern University but taking time off to play a new sport to him, rugby. Although having never played before, Tasker received the title as the MVP of the Big Ten Conference Rugby Tournament. Returning to football shortly after, he set and still currently holds the career kickoff return record for the Northwestern Wildcats football team, with an average of 24.3. After obtaining 779 receiving yards, 51 receptions, and 9 touchdowns in the NFL, Tasker retired to his current job as a color commentator for CBS football telecasts, in addition to telecasting play-by-play broadcasts for the Bills pre-season games.
