Stephen Ross

Stephen Ross is the majority owner of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins franchise. As a native South Floridian, the team has been a lifelong passion for Ross and he dreamed for years of owning the team one day. Ross’ dream came true when he became 50% partner in ownership of the team in 2008 and eventually even became majority owner by purchasing an additional 45% of the organization in early 2009, all of which he still owns today. While Mr. Ross is known best for his ownership of the Miami Dolphins, he is also a prominent person in real estate. He started his real estate development business, The Related Companies, in 1972, and is now the man behind the largest private real estate project in the country. His success in life has allowed him to give back, including donating $200 million to his alma mater the University of Michigan which is the largest single donation the university has received in its history.​​
