About Stan Bowman
Stan Bowman is the vice president and general manager of the Edmonton Oilers. He originally joined the Chicago Blackhawks organization as a special assistant to the general manager in 2000. He also became director of hockey operations and assistant general manager of hockey operations. Bowman became Chicago's ninth general manager in 2009. In his first season, Chicago won their first Stanley Cup since 1961. The Blackhawks have also won Stanley Cups under Bowman's leadership in 2013 and 2015. His father, Scotty, is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame.
