About Shaun King
Shaun King was selected in the 2nd round of the 1999 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers out of Tulane University. While playing at Tulane from 1995 to 1998 he led his team to an undefeated season in 1998 while breaking the NCAA Div. 1 record for passing efficiency in a season. The same year he became the first player in NCAA history to rush for 100 yards and pass for 300 yards in the same game. During his two years at Tulane he threw for over 5,000 yards and rushed for over 1,000 yards and scored 78 total touchdowns. While playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1999 to 2003 he helped his team to a win in Super Bowl XXXVII before eventually playing for the Arizona Cardinals in 2004 and the Detroit Lions and Indianapolis Colts in 2006. Upon retiring from football in 2007 he established the Shaun King Foundation with the goal of supporting the Kings Kids program in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs. He has also served as an expert football analyst with ESPN and currently serves in that same role with Fox Sports Net and NBC Sports.
