Brad Johnson

Brad Johnson had a successful 17-year career as an NFL quarterback.  He is best known for his four seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and particularly the 2002 season, which ended with the team’s first Super Bowl title.  Johnson made his second Pro Bowl while with the Bucs and set several team passing records.  He was an afterthought when originally chosen in the ninth round of the NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings, but became one of the best late round picks in league history.  His first seven seasons were spent as an occasional starter in Minnesota before finally breaking out in 1999 with the Washington Redskins.  Johnson threw for 4,005 yards and 24 touchdowns on his way to the Pro Bowl.  He finished out his career with two years runs as a backup in both Minnesota and Dallas.  Overall, Johnson was 72-53 as a starting quarterback and is top 50 in passer rating in NFL history.
