Robert Jackson earned the nickname “Scoop” due to his ability to get the real scoop on all the best sports stories around the country. Jackson began his career as a sports journalist in 1986 and has contributed work to some of the most prestigious basketball and hip hop magazines and newspapers in the country for the last 15 years, including to the USA Today, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, The Source and Vibe. He also served as the editor for SLAM Magazine and Inside Stuff. Jackson began writing for ESPN.com in 2005 and is often featured on ESPN’s Sports Century series. In 2006 he began contributing to ESPN the Magazine and has since become a columnist for ESPN.com’s Page 2. He’s one of the most highly respected sports journalists in the business today, and is always willing to go the extra mile to get the real story so that fans can know what the scoop really is.
