Ryan Roberts

Ryan Roberts, also humorously known as “Tatman”, is a professional second baseman in the Major Leagues. Originating from Forth Worth, Texas in the 1980’s, Roberts has been playing professional baseball since 2006. He finished his college baseball career at the University of Texas at Arlington after being named the Southland Conference Player of the Year and the Hitter of the Year. To no surprise, he was highly sought after for the Major League Draft immediately after graduating in 2003. He was scooped up by the Toronto Blue Jays that same year and finally made his big debut in 2006, hitting a solo home run in Yankee Stadium as his first hit in a Major League Baseball game. Since, Roberts has contributed to the rosters of the Texas Rangers, Arizona Diamondbacks and the Tampa Bay Rays before signing with his current team, the Boston Red Sox. To date, he has obtained nearly 50 home runs and has batted in nearly 170 runs. Roberts will be debuting for the 2015 season with the Kansas City Royals and continues to be a vital hitting contribution to every team he resides on.
