Ryan Howard Biography

Ryan Howard currently represents number 6 as the first baseman for the Philadelphia Phillies. Howard has played the entirety of his professional career with the Phillies, debuting in the Major Leagues in 2004. Prior to this debut, Howard grew up in Missouri in the late 1900’s and went on to play college baseball at Missouri State University. As a Bear, he was named the 1999 Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year and post-graduation, he continued to pursue a baseball career playing in the minor leagues. After making it big as a call-up in 2004, Howard went on to become the 2005 Rookie of the Year. He has since become a recipient of the honorable Hank Aaron Award, Silver Slugger Award, NLCS MVP and numerous others. In fact, Howard led the National League in RBI’s for three consecutive seasons and was also the league’s home run champion for two years. He won his first World Series championship with the Phillies in 2008 and continues to serves as a noteworthy contribution to the team’s roster season after season.
