Robert Allenby Biography

Prior to turning professional in golf, Robert Allenby proved himself as a formidable player by winning four events as an amateur in Australia. Robert turned professional in 1992 and had immediate success. He topped the PGA Tour of Australasia Order of Merit in his first season and again in 1994. He has also played on the European Tour where he has won four tournaments before being featured in the top 20 of the Official World Golf Rankings. Robert now plays on the PGA Tour where he has racked up four victories including the Shell Houston Open, Advil Western Open, and Nissan Open which were all won in a playoff. He has also placed in the top 10 of the U.S. Open, The Open Championship, and the PGA Championship. On top of his 22 tour victories, Allenby has also played on the World Cup team three times, and been a part of the Presidents Cup international team six times.
