Ricky Craven Biography

Ricky Craven was one of the better NASCAR drivers of the 1990s. Craven won twice in his career and is best remembered for his triumph at the 2003 Carolina Dodge Dealers 400. He won the race in the closest finish in Cup Series history. Craven also posted 41 top ten finishes. Four of those top ten showings came in his first year leading to him being named the 1995 Winston Cup Rookie of the Year. In the run-up to his Cup Series career, Craven had two runner-up finishes in the Busch Series championship standings. After retiring from active competition in 2006, he went on to become a popular commentator for ESPN and Fox Sports.
