About Rick Tocchet
Rick Tocchet played 18 seasons in the National Hockey League as a right winger. He broke into the league by being the 121st overall selection in the 1983 NHL Draft. In his first season with the Philadelphia Flyers he scored 39 points and led the team all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals. While early in his career Rick was known more as a fighter, he continued to improve his skills and became one of the most respected and fierce power forwards in the league. The 1992 Stanley Cup victor was also a 4 time All-Star selection on his way to scoring over 400 career goals. Following his career on the ice, Tocchet went into coaching for the Colorado Avalanche as an assistant. Since that time he has been an assistant and head coach for other teams in the league as well as dabbled in broadcasting as an analyst for the Flyers postgame show.
