About Reggie Leach
Reggie Leach had a storied NHL career, mostly with the Philadelphia Flyers. In 934 games, he scored 381 goals and added 285 assists. On two occasions, Leach was an NHL All-Star. In 1976, he led the league with 61 goals and set a franchise single-season record. The year prior, Leach helped the Flyers win the Stanley Cup. Philadelphia also played for the Cup in 1976, but lost. Despite going down in defeat, he was still awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as Stanley Cup Playoffs MVP. The Boston Bruins originally drafted Leach with the third overall pick of the 1970 NHL Amateur Draft. He played for the Bruins for two seasons and the California Golden Seals for three years before joining the Flyers. In 1992, Leach was inducted into the Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame. He is also a member of the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame and Museum and the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame. In 2016, Leach was named to the Order of Manitoba.
