About Randy Winn
Randy Winn was a talented outfielder in Major League Baseball for 13 seasons. Winn played baseball at Santa Clara University before being selected in the third round of the 1995 MLB Draft by the Florida Marlins. He was selected by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the 1997 expansion draft and debuted with the franchise during their inaugural season. Winn played sparingly during his first four seasons before breaking out in 2002. He made the All-Star team and finished the year batting .298 with 14 home runs 75 RBI and 27 stolen bases. Winn went on to spend parts of three seasons with Seattle Mariners. He hit over .300 for the first time in 2005 when he split the season between the Mariners and the San Francisco Giants. Winn was named National League Player of the Month in September that year. He spent four more seasons with the Giants and hit over .300 twice. In 2010, Winn split his final season between the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals. He finished his career as a .284 hitter with over 200 stolen bases.
