About Prince Fielder
Prince Fielder grew up around major league baseball as the son of the prominent power hitting first baseman, Cecil Fielder. In high school Fielder showed that the baseball gene did not skip a generation, hitting .524 with 10 homeruns during his senior year at Eau Gallie High School in route to earning Florida Today Player of the Year honors in 2002. In the 2002 MLB Draft he was selected in the first round by the Milwaukee Brewers and quickly made a name for himself as more than just his fathers son. In 2005 he earned the call to the big leagues and has since been one of the most dominant all around hitters in the game, leading the league in homeruns in 2007 and RBI in 2009 while earning three Silver Slugger Awards at first base. His numerous accolades also include winning the 2007 Hank Aaron Award and being named to five All-Star games. Fielder played the first eight seasons of his career in Milwaukee and then played two seasons with the Detroit Tigers before landing with the Texas Rangers in 2014.
