About Phil Rawlins

Phil Rawlins is one of the most visionary sports executives in soccer. Rawlins charted the course for Orlando City SC to go from lower-division American soccer to the MLS. In the course of crafting the franchise, he also built a winner that captured three regular season and two postseason USL Pro titles. Rawlins ultimate goal was finally realized when Orlando City played to a sold-out Citrus Bowl crowd of 62,000 in their inaugural MLS game. He is originally from England and first got into the soccer business as an owner and director of his hometown English Premier League side Stoke City. Rawlins originally set off on his American soccer journey by founding the Austin Aztecs in 2007, but relocated them to Orlando in 2010. Outside of soccer, he founded an IT firm, OnTarget. His place in the Central Florida community is now firmly entrenched. Rawlins was named Downtowner of the Year in 2013 and an MBA Orlando Community Champion in 2014. He serves on the Board of Directors for CANVS and the Central Florida Sports Commission.
