About Paul O'Neill
Paul O’Neill is a retired MLB outfielder, famous for his time with the New York Yankees. O’Neill made hisMLB debut in 1985 with the Cincinnati Reds. His first full season with in the MLB would be in 1988,where he hit .252 with 16 homeruns and 73 RBI. In 1991, O’Neill changed his swing to become more of ahomerun hitter, and it showed, as he hit a career high 28 homeruns that season. In1992, O’Neil wastraded to the New York Yankees, becoming a key player during the dominance of the Yankees in the1990s. O’Neill would play nine seasons with the Yankees, becoming the AL Batting Champion in 1994. Atthe end of the 2000 season,O’Neill announced his retirement, finishing his storied career with manyawards and honors, including five All-Star gamesand five World Series Victories. Over his 17 years,O’Neill batted .288 with 281 homeruns and 1,269 RBI. He now works as abroadcaster and sports analystfor many networks around the country.
