Patrick Corbin

Patrick Corbin is a star pitcher, currently playing for the Washington Nationals. Prior to his time in the MLB, Corbin played collegiately at Chipola College, transferring to there after starting his career at Mohawk Valley Community College. Although he is a pitcher, Corbin never pitched until his junior year of high school. Corbin had a historic season in his only year at Chipola, and was drafted in the second round of the 2009 MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Corbin never cracked the Angels lineup, and was traded in 2010 to the Arizona Diamondbacks, where he debuted on April 30, 2012. Corbin finished 2012 with a 6-8 record, and made the team out of Spring Training for the 2013 season. 2013 would prove to be a career year for Corbin, as he finished with a 14-8 record and a 3.41 ERA, earning him All-Star honors for the first time. During 2014 Spring Training, Corbin underwent Tommy John Surgery, forcing him to miss the entire 2014 season. He returned the following year and continued to slowly progress before another career year in 2018. Corbin was an All-Star again and finished with a 11-7 record, 3.15 ERA and 246 strikeouts. After returning to his dominant form, he signed a free agent contract with the Nationals.
