Oronde Gadsen II Biography

Oronde Gadsden II is a star tight end for the Los Angeles Chargers. Son of ex-Dolphins WR Oronde Gadsden Sr., he starred at American Heritage High, winning two state titles and catching 37 passes for 608 yards and 13 TDs. A three-star recruit, he chose Syracuse, where he exploded as a sophomore (2022) with 61 receptions, 969 yards, and six touchdowns, earning First-Team All-ACC. Injuries limited him, but he rebounded in 2024 with 59 catches, 802 yards, and 9 TDs. He was drafted No. 165 overall by Los Angeles, debuting in Week 3 of 2025. He earned NFL Rookie of the Week in Week 8 of his rookie year debut.
