About Neil Olshey
Neil Olshey is the former President of Basketball Operations for the Portland Trail Blazers. He is best known for drafting franchise cornerstones Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum in back-to-back years. The acquisition of both players led to four straight postseason appearances for Portland from 2014-17. Olshey previously worked for the Los Angeles Clippers, rising to the position of Vice President of Basketball Operations. Olshey was instrumental in bringing star point guard to the Clippers via trade. He won "Best Sports Transaction of the Year" for the move at the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference. Olshey originally began his NBA career as the team's Director of Player Development. He had been the Director of Player Development at SFX Sports Group.
