About Mike Zimmer
Mike Zimmer was a longtime NFL coach who most notably served as head coach for the Minnesota Vikings from 2014-2021. Zimmer went 72-56, taking the Vikings to the playoffs three times and winning two AFC North Division titles. He previously built one of the league’s best defenses during his seven years as defensive coordinator with the Cincinnati Bengals.The Bengals had great success as a team as well winning three straight division titles. Zimmer got into the NFL coaching defensive backs for the Dallas Cowboys in 1994 and was promoted to defensive coordinator in 2000.His coaching career started at the University of Missouri in 1979.Zimmer went on to coach at Weber State and then as the defensive coordinator at Washington State before joining the NFL.
