About Mike Tannenbaum
Mike Tannenbaum was a longtime NFL executive. With his last organization, joined the Miami Dolphins as a consultant in 2014 and eventually became their executive vice president of football operations. The Dolphins made their first playoff appearance in eight years in 2016 partly due to Tannenbaum's efforts. He has received high marks for his acquisitions of players like Kenny Stills, Kiko Alonso and Bryon Maxwell. Tannenbaum was instrumental in perhaps the biggest free agent signing during the 2015 offseason, Ndamukong Suh.
Before coming to Miami, Tannenbaum spent two years as an agent with Priority Sports and Entertainment. He is perhaps best known for a 16-year tenure with the New York Jets.
From 2006-2012, Tannenbaum was the Jets' executive vice president and general manager. In that span, New York made three trips to the playoffs and appeared in two AFC Championship Games. He originally started with the Jets in 1997 as director of player contracts in 1997.
Early in his career, Tannenbaum also worked with the New Orleans Saints and Cleveland Browns. He is a graduate of the University of Tulane Law School.
