About Mike Pereira
Mike Pereira got his start in the NFL as a side judge on an officiating crew in 1996 and 1997. After that he took over as the Senior Director of Officiating and then worked his way up to being named the Vice President of Officiating. In 2009 he began making regular appearances on the NFL Network’s hit show, NFL Total Access, during the Official Review segment. His duties on the show featured him discussing key calls made during the previous week’s games. He’d go on to make appearances on the Conference Championship edition of official review, before retiring as the Vice President of Officiating after the 2009 season. In 2010 he joined the Fox Sports network as a rules analyst for their NFL coverage. From February to June 2011 he served as the Pac-10’s interim coordinator of officiating, and has since joined the Pac 12 as an officiating consultant.
