About Gene Steratore
Gene Steratore is a former NFL official who worked in the league from 2003-18. Steratore quickly made his way up the league ranks, starting as a field judge before being promoted to referee in 2006. He was able to serve as alternate referee for Super Bowl XLIV and referee for Super Bowl LII. Steratore also has an extensive background as a college basketball official. When he retired from both sports in 2018, he joined CBS Sports and compliments their coverage of college football, college basketball and the NFL.
