About Michel Goulet
Hall of Famer Michel Goulet played 15 NHL seasons, scoring 1,152 points for the Quebec Nordiques and Chicago Blackhawks. Goulet was a four-time 50-goal scorer in Quebec and his number was retired by the franchise. During his time with the Nordiques, he teamed with fellow Hall of Famer Peter Stastny to form an electric scoring duo. His retirement was necessitated by a brutal 1994 hit that left him with serious post-concussion symptoms. Quebec originally drafted the local product 20th overall in 1979. Goulet had originally been in the WHA for a season with the Birmingham Bulls before the league was absolved into the NHL. He also played two seasons of junior hockey for the Quebec Remparts. At the end of his playing career, Goulet joined his former franchise that had been relocated to Colorado as the Director of Player Personnel. He spent 15 seasons in the Avalanche front office and now serves as a scout for the Calgary Flames.
