Michael Bennett

Current Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Michael Bennett is a Super Bowl Champion and two-time NFC Champion. Bennett attended Alief Taylor High School where he was a three-sport athlete playing football, baseball and track. In his senior year, Bennett earned First-team All-District honors as a defensive lineman. Bennett then attended Texas A&M University where he was selected to the honorable mention All-Big 12 team. In 2006, Bennett was the team’s top tackler among defenders that did not start a game. The Seattle Seahawks signed Bennett in 2009 as an undrafted free agent, but the team waived him on October 10, 2009 to make room for an offensive tackle. On October 12, 2009, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers claimed Bennett off waivers where he was switched back to defensive tackle. His best year with the Buccaneers came in 2012, his last season with Tampa Bay. Bennett signed with the Seattle Seahawks again that offseason and won his first Super Bowl in 2013. He went on to make three straight Pro Bowl appearances in Seattle from 2015-2017. After establishing himself as one of the premier defensive linemen in the game, Bennett was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles and went on to record nine sacks in 2018. He started the 2019 season with the New England Patriots before being traded to the Dallas Cowboys.
