About Maya Moore
Maya Moore is one of the great winners in women's basketball history. Moore got her start in basketball when she and her mother would play on a basketball hoop that was mounted on the back door of their apartment. Moore attended Collins Hill High School where she was a four-year starter on the women’s basketball team. She also participated in track & field. In addition to her high school team, Moore played for the Georgia Metros 16U Nike Travel Team in 2005 and 2006. Moore attended the University of Connecticut where as a freshman; she led the Huskies to their best record since their Final Four appearance in 2004. She was the first freshman to be named the Big East Player of the Year. The Minnesota Lynx selected Moore as the 1st overall pick in the 2011 WNBA Draft. Moore went on to win four WNBA titles with the Lynx.
