About Maverick McNealy
Maverick McNealy is one of the rising young stars in golf. McNealy turned pro following the 2017 Walker Cup and made his debut at the Safeway Open. He was previously the top-rankedplayer in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. McNealy first made waves in the golf world by qualifying as an 18-year-old for the 2014 U.S. Open. He also competed in the U.S. Open and The Open Championship as an amateur in 2017. McNealy competed in college at Stanford University where he was a two-time Pac-12 Player of the Year for the Cardinal. As a sophomore, he won the Nicklaus Award and the Haskins Award. McNealy established a school record and a mark which ranks second in NCAA history with a 69.05 scoring average that season. His third-round 61 at the Pac-12 Championships set a low round event record. McNealy would have another banner year as a senior, winning the Ben Hogan Award and Byron Nelson Award.
