Malachi Toney is a dynamic wide receiver for the Miami Hurricanes. From Plantation, Florida, the 6'1 ", 195-pound freshman starred at American Heritage High School, leading his team to a 12-2 record and a 2024 Class 4A state title. As a senior, he recorded 58 receptions, 1,008 yards, and 12 touchdowns, earning the Nat Moore Trophy and Broward 4A-1A Offensive Player of the Year. A four-star recruit, ranked among the top 200 prospects by Rivals, Toney reclassified to the 2025 cycle, choosing Miami over LSU and Penn State. In his 2025 debut against Notre Dame, he had six catches for 82 yards and a touchdown. Praised by coach Mario Cristobal for his playmaking and work ethic, Toney's speed and route-running have drawn comparisons to Hurricanes legend Michael Irvin, making him an ACC standout.
