Mac Jones Biography

Mac Jones is a quarterback for the New England Patriots who was selected in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Jones names stand squarely beside a long list of legendary quarterbacks at the University of Alabama. Jones had just one season as primary starter for the Crimson Tide, but made the most of it. As a junior, he completed over 77 percent of his passes, threw for 4,500 yards and 41 touchdowns, against just four interceptions. Jones saved one of his best games for last in helping Alabama throttle Ohio State in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. He collected a host of postseason awards including the Manning Award, the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award and the Davey O'Brien Award. Jones was a unanimous All-American and a first-team All-SEC pick. Jones also flashed off the field and was named the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
