About Luke Jensen
Luke Jensen was a successful American doubles tennis player and coach. Jensen partnered with his younger brother Murphy to win the 1993 French Open doubles title. That same year, he reached his highest doubles ranking of sixth in the world. Jensen captured ten career doubles titles and also had a limited singles career. He has the unique ability to serve with either hand, which earned him he nickname “Dual Hand Luke”. The Jensen brothers’ on-court enthusiasm gained them one of the biggest followings ever for a doubles pair. At the University of Southern California, he was a two-time All-American in singles. In 1984, Jensen was top ranked junior in both singles and doubles. A Grayling, Michigan native, he captured the state’s high school singles title in 1983. After his playing career, Jensen was the head women’s tennis coach at Syracuse, compiling a 106-57 record. He has also served as a tennis commentator on television.
