Lindsay Czarniak

Lindsay Czarniak earned her undergraduate degree in online journalism from James Madison University in 2000. Growing up in Pennsylvania and Northern Virginia she developed a great passion for sports, playing lacrosse and field hockey at Centreville High School. With that passion she pursued a career in sports after her college graduation, working as an intern at WUSA and becoming a production assistant at CNN. Eventually she landed a reporting job at WAWS in Jacksonville, Florida and went on to work as a reporter in Miami and for the Speed Channel before joining NBC4 in Washington, D.C. in 2005. In 2006 she became a co-host of The George Michael Sports Machine and covered the Olympic games in Turin. During that time she also worked as a pit reporter in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. After covering the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing she hosted a half-hour show on Oxygen called Gymnastics on Oxygen. In 2011 she signed on as an on-air anchor and reporter at ESPN. Since that time she has served as a lead anchor on SportsCenter and also covered the Indianapolis 500 as the lead host of ESPN’s coverage.
