Les Miles

Les Miles played offensive line at the University of Michigan from 1974 to 1975 and returned to his alma mater in 1980 as a graduate assistant. In 1982 he signed on as an assistant at the University of Colorado before heading back to Michigan as the offensive line coach in 1987. He served in that position for seven seasons before landing the offensive coordinator position at Oklahoma State from 1995 to 1997. In 1998 he made the jump to the NFL as the tight ends coach with the Dallas Cowboys. In 2001 he earned his first head-coaching job at Oklahoma State University and led the Cowboys to 28 wins and three bowl games in four seasons. After the 2004 season he interviewed for the LSU job and was later hired as the new head coach of the Tigers. During his first season in Baton Rouge he led his team to an SEC West title and an 11-2 record. He followed that up with an 11-2 record in 2006 and a win in the Sugar Bowl. However, 2007 would prove to be the golden year. After winning the SEC West his team won the BCS National Championship. He led the Tigers back to the National Championship game in 2011 after posting a perfect 8-0 record in the SEC and a 13-1 record overall. During Miles tenure at LSU he has led them to 114 wins, three SEC West titles, and two SEC Championships. He most recently served as the head coach at the University of Kansas.
