Leigh Bodden

Leigh Bodden signed with the Cleveland Browns as an amateur free agent in 2003 out of Duquesne University. Prior to heading to Duquesne he starred at Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, Maryland, where he was a standout on defense and led his team to a 10-2 record as a senior. During his college career he set the Duquesne single game record with three interceptions in 2002 and led his team to becoming the No. 1 ranked defense in NCAA Division I-AA. His performance on the field, which included 28 career interceptions, earned him All-American honors from the American Football Coaches Association and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Football League Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2002. He also competed on the Duquesne track and field team, and won the 2002 Atlantic 10 Conference long jump championship. Upon joining the Browns in 2003 he earned a starting spot and played the first four seasons of his career in Cincinnati before joining the Detroit Lions for a season in 2008 and then finishing his career with the New England Patriots from 2009 to 2011. Bodden retired with 345 career tackles, 18 interceptions, eight forced fumbles and 70 pass deflections.
