About Lauren James
Lauren James is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Chelsea FC Women and the England national team. A product of the Chelsea academy, she began her senior career at Arsenal in 2017 before moving to Manchester United, where she became the club’s top scorer in their inaugural WSL season. Lauren James was back with Chelsea in 2021 where she won multiple league titles. In 2022, she was the PFA Women's Young Player of the Year. She played a major part in the English Women's National Team's run to the 2023 Women's World Cup. She performed really well in the early stages of the tournament. Outside of soccer, James launched a scholarship to support young, minority girls to help give them support and put an emphasis on diversity within women's sports.
