About Kim Clavel
Kim Clavel is an accomplished female boxer who captured the WBC-NABF light flyweight title in 2019. Clavel began her professional career a perfect 11-0, with two of her wins coming via knockout. She first made her pro debut in 2017. Clavel is even better known for what she has done outside the ring, however. She was all set to box in her first main event fight in March 2020 when the bout was cancelled and she left the sport to help out on the front lines of the coronavirus. She went to work in long-term care facilities in Montreal during the pandemic, mostly assisting elderly patients. Clavel was in perfect position to help with previous experience as a maternity ward nurse prior to focusing on boxing. Due to her decision to help those in need, she received the Pat Tillman Award for Service at the 2020 ESPYs.
