About Karl Anthony Towns
Karl-Anthony Towns is one of the NBA's top big men with the New York Knicks.Towns blossomed into an elite center during his first nine years with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He was a four-time All-Star and two-time member of the All-NBA Third Team.
Towns was the top pick in the 2015 NBA Draft by Minnesota and won the 2016 NBA Rookie of the Year Award after averaging 18.3 points and 10.5 rebounds. In his one year of college basketball, he dominated the SEC, taking home Freshman of the Year and All-Conference first-team honors. He was also a consensus second-team All-American.
The Kentucky Wildcats had a historic run and were undefeated heading into the NCAA Tournament. Six of his other teammates from that legendary team also declared for the 2015 NBA Draft.
Towns played high school ball at St. Joseph High School in New Jersey. He was a Parade All-American and Gatorade Player of the Year in 2014. St. Joseph won three straight state titles with Towns.
