Kam Chancellor

Kam Chancellor was born in Norfolk, Virginia and played basketball and football at Fontaine Maury High School. On the football field he played quarterback and safety and recorded over 2,000 passing yards and 500 rushing yards as a senior in route to earning All-District honors. After high school he signed a scholarship to continue his football career and education at Virginia Tech University. While playing for the Hokies he starred as a cornerback before moving to the strong safety position as a sophomore. In 2009 he earned second team All-ACC honors after record 52 tackles and two interceptions. With both speed and instincts, he became a top NFL prospect while at Virginia Tech and was highly sought after heading into the 2010 NFL Draft. He ultimately landed with the Seattle Seahawks as a fifth round selection and has since become one of the top safeties in the NFL. During his first four seasons in the league he earned three trips to the Pro Bowl, two NFL All-Pro selections, and the 2014 Steve Largent Award. In 2013 and 2014 he helped the Seahawks to back-to-back NFC Championships and a Super Bowl title in 2014.
