Jutta Leerdam is a Dutch speed skating sensation specializing in sprint distances, particularly the 1000m. Considered a rising phenom, at 18, Leerdam claimed allround and 1500m gold at the 2017 World Junior Championships, followed by silver in 2018. Her senior breakthrough came with team sprint golds at the 2019 and 2020 World Single Distance Championships, plus individual 1000m gold in 2020. She repeated the 1000m world title in 2023 and won the 2022 World Sprint Championship overall. At the Beijing 2022 Olympics, she secured silver in the 1000m.
