About Justin Fuente
Justin Fuente is the former head football coach at Virginia Tech and Memphis. In his first season at VT, Fuente guided the Hokies to an appearance in the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship Game. He was named the 2016 ACC Coach of the Year. Prior to arriving in Blacksburg, Fuente built the Memphis football program into a winner. After going 4-8 and 3-9 in his first two seasons, he turned the Tigers around. They posted 10-3 and 9-3 records while sharing a piece of the American Athletic Conference title in 2014. Before getting a shot as a head coach, Fuente spent five seasons on the coaching staff at TCU. He started his coaching career at Illinois State, first as quarterbacks coach from 2001-03 and then as offensive coodinator from 2004-2006. Fuente split his college career as a quarterback at Oklahoma and Murray State.
