About Jordan Zimmermann
Jordan Zimmermann made a name for himself amidst a star-studded Washington Nationals pitching staff. Zimmermann debuted with the Nats in 2009 and went on to become a two-time All-Star. He also tied for the National League lead-in wins in 2013. He finished that season 19-9 with a 3.25 ERA.The following season, Zimmermann threw the first no-hitter in Nationals history on the final day of the regular season.2014 was also a banner campaign as he ended things 14-5 with a 2.66 ERA.After his big league debut, Zimmermann needed Tommy John Surgery. Hisrebound was no surprise to those who saw him rise from walk-on status at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point to become a big leaguer.Zimmerman finished his career with the Detroit Tigers and Milwaukee Brewers before retiring in 2021.
