About Jordan Ott
Jordan Ott is an American NBA head coach currently leading the Phoenix Suns. Hailing from McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania, he graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in sports management. He later earned a master's degree in athletic administration from Michigan State University, where he served as a video coordinator under Tom Izzo from 2008 to 2013.
Ott began his NBA coaching career 2013 as a video coordinator with the Atlanta Hawks under Mike Budenholzer. He then served as an assistant coach with the Brooklyn Nets (2016–2022) under Kenny Atkinson, Jacque Vaughn, and Steve Nash, followed by stints with the Los Angeles Lakers (2022–2024) and the Cleveland Cavaliers (2024–2025).
Known for his offensive creativity, defensive strategies, and player development, Ott was hired by the Suns after a 64-win season with the Cavaliers. He replaced Budenholzer following Phoenix's 36-46 record in 2024–25.
