About John Urschel
John Urschel is a former offensive lineman for the Baltimore Ravens who has one of the most interesting backgrounds of any player in the history of the NFL. Urschel graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor's and master's degree in mathematics. While playing for the Ravens, he pursued a Ph.D. in mathematics at MIT. Urschel was a starting guard for Baltimore. They drafted him in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. At Penn State, Urschel was a two-time All-Big Ten first teamer. He was also a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and a two-time first-team Academic All-American.
