About Chad Greenway
Chad Greenway was professional linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings. Greenway attended college at the University of Iowa where he played for the Hawkeyes’ football team from 2002-05. Greenway did not play his freshman year as he was redshirted. During his sophomore year, Greenway did not play in the first four games due to a knee injury. Greenway was named first-team All-American in 2004 and he was also named a second-team All-American. The Minnesota Vikings selected Greenway as the 17th overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. During training camp, Greenway was named as the second string linebacker In Greenway’s first preseason game; he tore his ACL on special teams during a kickoff return. Due to his torn ACL, Greenway missed the entire 2006 season. Greenway’s first NFL start came on September 9, 2007 against the Atlanta Falcons. In his career, Greenway was a 2x Pro Bowl selection, second-team All-Pro and the winner of the Ed Block Courage Award.
