About John Skelton
John Skelton was selected in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals out of Fordham University. Prior to heading to Fordham as a quarterback he was a four-sport star at Burges High School in El Paso, Texas, playing football, baseball, basketball and track. During his senior year he threw for 2,172 yards and 15 touchdowns in route to earning all-state honors. While at Fordham he was a four-year starter, and set school records with 10,488 yards of total offense, 69 touchdown passes, 9,928 passing yards, 802 completions, 1,363 pass attempts and 83 combined touchdowns. In 2009 he earned an invitation to the East West Shrine Game, where he displayed the skills that would make him a top draft pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. Skelton joined the Cardinals in 2010 and played his first two NFL seasons in Arizona. He has since seen time with the Cincinnati Bengals, San Francisco 49ers, and Tennessee Titans. Thus far in his career he has thrown for 3,707 yards and 15 touchdowns.
