About Joe Tessitore
Joe Tessitore has long been regarded as one of the best play-by-play broadcasters in sports. Tessitore is currently best known for his work on boxing telecasts and previously headed up ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcasts. He previously spent 16 years as a top voice for the network's college football coverage. In addition to MNF, Tessitore is also the ringside commentator for Top Rank Boxing on ESPN and college basketball telecasts. In addition to his play-by-play duties, Tessitore has been involved in hosting roles at the network with shows like College Football Live and SEC Nation. He has called thousands of boxing matches for both ESPN and HBO. Prior to joining ESPN, Tessitore worked in local television in Hartford, Dallas and Albany. He is a member of the Connecticut Boxing Hall of Fame and serves as a member of the Board of Regents at Boston College.
