About Joe Polo
Joe Polo was an alternate for the United States men's curling team that won a gold medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics. It was the first gold medal in the sport for Team USA. Polo had previously been part of the U.S. squad that won a bronze at the 2006 Olympics. For those efforts, his team was named United States Olympic Committee Team of the Year. He has won six medals in his career at the World Championships, four of them gold. Polo also competes in mixed doubles and won a bronze medal at the 2016 World Championship. He is a Minnesota native who took up the sport at the age of ten. Off the ice, Polo currently works as a project manager.
